Alliance Airlines Fokker 70 First Visit to Rockhampton Airport Tuesday

In a surprising equipment change, Alliance Airlines operated Fokker F-70 VH-QQX into Rockhampton Airport on Tuesday 17 January on behalf of QantasLink.

The F-70 is pictured above in Brisbane recently, but today operated the UTY2356/2357 service from Brisbane to Rockhampton and return on behalf of QantasLink. It was the first time VH-QQX has visited Rockhampton.

Earlier in the day, VH-QQX popped into Emerald Airport on a fly-in fly-out (FIFO) charter as UTY7650/7651.

Another notable movement, this time to Proserpine / Whitsunday Coast Airport on Monday 16 January, was Virgin Australia's recently repainted Boeing B737-800 VH-VUZ. While passing through Brisbane Airport yesterday, I managed to get a quick snap of VH-VUZ returning from Proserpine / Whitsunday Coast as DJ1118.

On Sunday 15 January, one of Virgin Australia's recently acquired B737-800's VH-YFK popped into the Proserpine / Whitsunday Coast Airport as well.
