The chopper is operated by CHC Helicopters and is pictured departing to Mackay as "Chopper 7".
Later in the day - and again as the cloud had closed in markedly - Jamie C and his family were in Rockhampton for shopping, but Jamie managed to spend five minutes at the Airport.
He captured QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOX.
Also pictured is Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-XWR, which was operating for QantasLink.
Then the rain came!!
