Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) B737 Wedgetail Missed Approach at Rockhampton Airport Thursday

Shortly before I departed Rockhampton on Thursday 5 July, at the end a great couple of days plane spotting, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES Wedgetail A30-004 performed a spectacular missed approach onto Rockhampton Airport's Runway 15.

After 'going around', the Wedgetail departed to RAAF Base Williamtown as "Wedgetail 05".

Earlier on Thursday 5 July, a pair of the RAAF BAe Hawk 127 jets flew a sortie out of Rockhampton Airport, departing at about 7.30am.  I caught the two Hawks - A27-20 and A27-02 - arriving back at Rockhampton Airport flying as "Leopard 01".

A great couple of days!
