Peace Aviation - Flight Training and Aircraft Maintenance - at Rockhampton Airport

Another one of the local operators at Rockhampton Airport that we recently called into was Peace Aviation.  Peace Aviation is located at Hangar 8 - adjacent to Rockys main Runway 15/33 - on the General Aviation side of Rockhampton Airport - which can be accessed by taking the road off Canoona Rd.

Peace Aviation operates by the motto of "Service First, Safety Always", and offers a range of aviation services for Central Queensland that includes Flight Training, Air Charter, Aerial Freight Services, Private Hire, Aerial Chaplaincy, and Aircraft Maintenance.  The maintenance side of Peace Aviation predominantly focuses on the scheduled servicing of piston engine aircraft up to the Maximum Take Off Weight (MTOW) of 5700kgs, as well as the fixed priced 100 hourly (labour) plus parts servicing and general repairs.

As mentioned, Peace Aviation does provide for flight training and other charter and freight work.  The aircraft which are available for charter or hire from Peace Aviation include Cessna 172N VH-OCN, Beech A36 Bonanza VH-MMB and Piper Seneca PA-34-200 Seneca VH-PCM.

Piper PA-28R-180 Arrow VH-PBA - which was in fact leased by Peace Aviation but has since returned to its home at Gladstone - was noted inside the Peace Aviation hangar receiving a 100 hour service.

Of interest, while at Peace Aviation, there were a couple of other aircraft which were either undergoing maintenance or waiting to receive attention including The Barlow Group's Cessna 172N VH-MSJ, Piper PA-34-200T Seneca VH-TVZ (which is actually a favourite of the CQ Plane Spotting Blog!!), Piper PA-28-181 VH-PZF, and lastly The Rockhampton Aero Club-operated Cessna 172S VH-OGY.

For more information, Peace Aviation can be contacted on one of two numbers - for the Flying School and General Aircraft Charter - call 07 4927 4355.  While for the Maintenance side of Peace Aviation, call 07 4922 7255.  Information is also available on their website: http://peaceaviation.com
