Recently Delivered Jetstar Airways Airbus A320 Aircraft Making First Visits to Central Queensland Airports

With a suggestion from a Mackay plane spotter, and some information from some well known plane spotting websites, comes some information on some recent Jetstar Airways Airbus A320 first-time visitors to Central Queensland Airports.  Jetstar only flys into Mackay, Hamilton Island and Proserpine / Whitsunday Coast Airports in Central Queensland.

The logo above was a slight modification on Jetstar's existing logo, and it has been noted adorning three of newer its A320s - VH-VGA, VH-VFD, and VH-VFF.  VH-VGA and VH-VFD were delivered in late 2011, and entered service with Jetstar in the early part of this year.  We've mentioned both VH-VGA and VH-VFD in previous posts, but believe that VH-VFD in fact made its first visit to Central Queensland way back on Sunday 29 January when it popped into Hamilton Island from Sydney as JST842.

A320 VH-VFF also wears these black titles and was first noted in CQ arriving into Mackay Airport on Monday 21 May as JST888 from Brisbane. On Friday 25 May it visited Mackay twice during the day too!

As the year progresses, Jetstar will continue to receive more new Airbus A320 aircraft.  VH-VFH was delivered in late July and entered service with Jetstar in mid August.  It finally made its first visit to Central Queensland on  Monday 1 October when it arrived at Mackay from Brisbane as JST884.

As I write this post, I've noticed that Jetstar has only very recently taken delivery of A320 VH-VFI.  Melbourne spotters on hand to see its arrival into Australia have reported that it wears different titles on its forward fuselage again!  Hopefully it will visit CQ soon and we can see for ourselves!
