Tiger Airways Announces Flights Between Mackay and Sydney as well!!


Only days after announcing a resumption in flights between Mackay Airport and Melbourne Airport, Tiger Airways has announced this week that they will start direct flights between Mackay Airport and Sydney Airport from Monday 17 December.

Tickets are on sale for both services now!

As mentioned previously, Tiger Airways has identified Mackay as among Australia's fastest-growing regions, being a key tourism drawcard and also having strong demand from the fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) mining sector.

It is also expeccted that around 20 jobs will be created in Mackay as a result of the new services, which are also seen as a significant boost to tourism and the local economy

Direct flights to Sydney with Tiger Airways are on sale for $99.95, on way.  At this stage, there are five Airbus A320-operated return services per week planned, operating each day except Wednesday and Saturday.

Direct flights to Melbourne with Tiger Airways are on sale for $109.95, one way.  At this stage, there are four Airbus A320-operated return services per week, operating each Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.  Melbourne flights start on Tuesday 18 December.
