Alliance Airlines Charters and Westfield Gulfstream G-V Bizjet at Mackay Airport

Presumably because of the KISS concert on Saturday night, a couple of nice bizjets touched down at Mackay Airport on Saturday 16 March, along with a pair of charters operated by Alliance Airlines.

Westfield Corporate Transport's Gulfstream Aerospace G-V bizjet N36GV popped into Mackay Airport from Sydney.

The Queensland Police Service (Airwing) aircraft Cessna 560 Citation Ultra bizjet VH-PSU also popped in, this time from Brisbane.  VH-PSU departed back to Brisbane in the early hours of Sunday 17 March.

Lastly, Alliance Airlines operated two charter flights into Mackay on Saturday with Fokker F-100 VH-XWS was noted arriving mid-morning from Townsville as UTY561.  It later departed to Cairns as UTY562.  It then returned to Mackay from Cairns later that night as UTY563 and departed back to Townsville as UTY564.

Unfortunately, other information about weekend movements at Mackay Airport is a little sketchy, but presumably there were other smaller aircraft that arrived and departed over the course of the weekend.  If there are any plane spotters or enthusiasts based in Mackay that would like to contribute information and photos to the CQ Plane Spotting Blog please contact us!!
