UPDATED!! A Pair of Virgin Australia Embraer E-190 Jets at Gladstone Airport on Tuesday

UPDATED!!

With sincere thanks to Jamie C, who despite enduring a busy day, managed to send through some fantastic images of some of the jet action from Tuesday 2 April at Gladstone Airport!!

It was a rather busy day at Gladstone Airport on Tuesday 2 April, with as many as eight jets touching down at the port city, including a pair of Virgin Australia Embraer E-190 aircraft To my knowledge, this is the first time ever that Virgin have operated two jets into Gladstone in one day.

Embraer E-190 VH-ZPE operated into Gladstone as VOZ1709 and departed to Brisbane as VOZ1712, while VH-ZPM (pictured above and below) touched down as VOZ1713, before departing Gladstone for Brisbane as VOZ1718.

QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200 jet aircraft VH-NXM, VH-NXO and VH-NXR (pictured below) were all noted operating into Gladstone from Brisbane during the day.

As well as these jet-operated services, Virgin and QantasLink turbo-prop services also operated into Gladstone, meaning that (at the time of writing) nearly 20 commercial flights have passed through the port city on Tuesday 2 April.
