More Photos of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) AS350B Squirrel and Bell 429 Helicopters at Rockhampton Airport

Local plane spotters Don W and 'IAD' have sent through some lovely images of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) helicopters that popped into Rockhampton Airport late on Sunday 26 May.

The image above - captured by Don W early on Monday 27 May - shows three of the six choppers parked on the Northern 'military' hardstand at Rockhampton Airport.  Reports suggest that at least some of the RAN helicopters have since departed, with some of the squirrels noted at Townsville Airport.

There were four Aerospatiale AS350B Squirrel choppers - serials N22-013, N22-016, N22-019, and N22-024.

Along with two of the RAN's newer Bell 429 choppers - serials N49-047 and N49-048 - which were all photographed by 'IAD' shortly after their arrival on Sunday.

Sincere thanks to both Don W and 'IAD' for sending through these fantastic images of some very interesting helicopter visitors to the beef city.
