Some More Spectacular Plane Spotting Photos from Gladstone Airport on Wednesday

Jamie C is possibly the best aviation photographer in Central Queensland, and we at the CQ Plane Spotting Blog are quite fortunate to have him as a contributor so that we are all able to enjoy looking over his spectacular images.

After a few quiet days at Gladstone Airport, Jamie was on hand on Wednesday 1 May when some interesting aircraft visited Gladstone - see post below - but he also managed to capture some fantastic images of some of the commercial visitors during the day as well.

First aircraft captured was QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOJ as it made a spectacular early morning departure to Rockhampton as QLK2300.

QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200 VH-NXR was captured by Jamie in the early afternoon just after rotating off Gladstone's Runway 10 bound for Brisbane as QJE1709.

Sister-ship VH-NXN was also captured at Gladstone on Wednesday 1 May a little later in the day as it arrived from Brisbane as QJE1712.

Also spotted was Virgin Australia (Skywest Airlines) ATR 72-600 VH-FVQ which Jamie captured overflying the field and then touching down on Gladstone's Runway 10 as VOZ1713 from Brisbane.

Again, we sincerely thank Jamie for contributing his photos to the CQ Plane Spotting Blog!
