Fantastic Plane Spotting Photos From Gladstone Airport on Thursday

Tash C sends through some fantastic plane spotting photos from a busy day at Gladstone Airport on Thursday 13 June.  


As shown above, the early action consists of Virgin Australia Regional Airlines ATR 72-500s VH-FVX (departing as VOZ1708) and VH-FVU (arriving as VOZ1708).  VH-FVU later departed back to Brisbane as VOZ1710.




QantasLink Dash-8-Q400s VH-QON and VH-QOR were both was captured arriving into, and then making a spectacular departures from Gladstone Airport - complete with prop-tip vortices.







Also in the thick morning air, the locally-based Careflight Bell 412EP rescue helicopter VH-XCY conducted some training work at Gladstone Airport.



Another helicopter in the form of Robinson R-44 VH-DQA of Forster Helicopters in Charters Towers, was captured departing for parts unknown, and then photographed again later in the day returning to Gladstone Airport.





One other helicopter visitor on Thursday 13 June was Aeropower McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company (MDHC) 369E VH-SUV.




Also on the lighter side of the fixed-wing aircraft visitors to Gladstone Airport on Thursday 13 June, was Brisbane-based Cirrus SR22 VH-YDM.



Also, McNab Aviation Cessna 414A VH-FKH was photographed departing Gladstone for its Toowoomba base.  VH-FKH has earlier arrived from Roma.



As Thursday 13 June went on, Tash managed to capture some more fantastic photos of the various commercial visitors that popped in during the day.


QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200s VH-NXN and VH-NXO.


  

QantasLink Dash-8-Q300 VH-SBW was also photographed.





And lastly, Virgin Australia Regional Airlines ATR 72-600s VH-FVP and VH-FVN were photographed operating schduled services in the port city during the afternoon.
