Some Plane Spotting Photos From Gladstone Airport on Monday

Early on Monday 3 June, local plane spotters Jamie C and Tash C were up early, with Jamie capturing a couple of photos of the very attractive looking QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOI – which is still resplendent in its ‘Tamworth Country Music Festival’ colour scheme  – as it touched down at Gladstone Airport.

Shortly after Virgin Australia Regional Airliens ATR 72-500 VH-FVI was captured by Jamie as it departed to Brisbane as VOZ1710.

Around the same time, he also captured a couple of light visitors including Cessna 210 VH-BVG.

And also Cessna 172 VH-LOR – which wears ‘Air Queensland’ titles was spotted departing Gladstone for Mackay.

Tash managed to capture a spectacular photo of Aeropower McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company (MDHC) 369E VH-SUV as it departed Gladstone for parts unknown.

Lastly, Tash also captured some photos of the visiting Raytheon 390 Premier 1 bizjet N7088S which is pictured departing back to its Mackay base.

As this Blog Post is being  written, courses indicate that Gladstone is expecting the arrival of Pel-Air / Regional Express (REX) SAAB 340A VH-EKD.  Stay tuned to the CQ Plane Spotting Blog for photos!

Sincere thanks once again to Tash C and Jamie C for sending through their photos of the action on a busy day!
