Military Exercise Talisman Saber 2013: Australian and Australian Helicopter Action Continues at Rockhampton Airport

Local plane spotters are reporting that the helicopter action at Rockhampton Airport continues all through the day and even into the late evening and night!

'IAD' captured some fantastic images of Australian Army marked NH Industries MRH-90 Multi-Role Helicopter A40-014 on Friday 19 July as it flew in and out of Rockhampton Airport as "Poseidon 14".

As we've reported, most action continues to centre around the 'resident' Australian Army Sikorsky S-70A-9 Blackhawk and Commonwealth CA-32 (Bell 206B/OH-58A) Kiowa helicopters that often fly sorties to the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA).

Also the four United States Navy (USN) Sikorsky HH-60H Seahawk helicopters continue to conduct local flights and flights to the Bay.

There are also reports that Australian Army Eurocopter (ARH) EC665 Tiger Helicopters, and Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Sikorsky S-70B/SH-60 Seahawk helicopters, have been spotted at Rockhampton Airport over the last week.

Finally, the Australian Blackhawk and American Seahawk helicopters continue to fly joint missions - there have even been reports of as many as eight helicopters flying together out of Rockhampton Airport!
