Movements at Longreach Airport This Week - JetGo E-135 VH-JZG - Alliance F-50 VH-FKY - Qld Gvt VH-SGY - And More!

Something that has caught my eye has been the number of interesting and varied movements into Longreach Airport over this week - aside from the usual QantasLink and Regional Express (REX) commercial movements!

Australasian Jet Piper PA-31 Navajo aircraft VH-AZJ and VH-ZMK arrived into Longreach Airport early on Monday 22 July from Rockhampton.  I have noted that these sort of movements between Rockhampton and Longreach are becoming 'regular' with VH-AZJ pictured below at Rockhampton Airport recently after arriving from Longreach in company with fellow PA-31 VH-ZMJ.

After dark on Monday 22 July, Alliance Airlines Fokker F-50 VH-FKY arrived into Longreach from Barcaldine on a fly-in fly-out (FIFO) charter flight as UTY654.  It later departed back to Brisbane using the same flight number.

On Tuesday 23 July, a pair of Beech King Air aircraft called into Longreach, with Great Western Aviation Beech B200 VH-XGV and Hawker Beechcraft B300 Super King Air VH-OXF touching down during the morning.  VH-XGV departed later for Mount Isa, and returned to Longreach on Wednesday 24 July.

Later on Tuesday 23 July, JetGo Australia Embraer E-135LR VH-JZG arrived into Longreach from Sydney operating a closed charter for Bill Peach Journeys. The E-135 was noted to be flying under the radio callsign of "JetGo 99".  It departed for Katherine (RAAF Base Tindal) on Wednesday 24 July.

Finally, after dark on Tuesday 23 July, the Queensland Government (State of Queensland) Raytheon Hawker 850XP bizjet VH-SGY arrived into Longreach from Karumba.  It too departed on Wednesday 24 July, this time for Brisbane.

Certainly a busy week!
