Also Spotted at Gladstone Airport on Saturday - Including Royal Newcastle Aero Club Fly-ins

Local plane spotters Michael F, Jamie C and Tash C enjoyed a fantastic day of plane spotting at Gladstone Airport on Saturday 24 August, highlighted by the departure of the Our Airline (Air Nauru) Boeing B737-300 VH-INU as RON915 to Brisbane (see Blog Post below for more photos)

While he was there Michael also took the time to capture a couple of other lighter movements, including the arrival of the much smaller - as the photo below shows - Jabiru J-160 ultralight 55-3827.

Matcy Aviation (Ian Aviation) Cessna 210 VH-MTC was captured departing the port city to Archerfield, via what looked to be an aerial survey around Rockhampton.

Michael was also lucky enough to capture some stunning images of locally-based Gladstone Helicopters / Helireef Eurocopter EC135 P2 VH-ZGZ as it arrived and the shortly after departed from Gladstone Airport on local flights.

Meanwhile, a unique pair of visiting aircraft were photographed later on Saturday 24 August by Jamie C and Tash C.  The Royal Newcastle Aero Club aircraft - Piper PA-28-181 VH-RNN and Cessna 172S VH-RNY - were spotted arriving into Gladstone from Hamilton Island and later departing to parts South.

Gold Coast-based Cessna 210-5 VH-RYB was also spotting visiting Gladstone on Saturday.

And also visiting on Saturday was Brisbane-based Cirrus SR-22 VH-YSH.

Finally, Jamie and Tash captured some images of the very smart looking Henty Aviation Cessna 425 VH-BSM as it was visiting Gladstone Airport on Friday 23 August.  VH-BSM arrived from the Sunshine Coast and later departed to Archerfield.

Sincere thanks to Michael, Jamie and Tash for sending through their spectacular images from the weekend!

With news coming through that a Queensland Government Community Cabinet will be held over the next couple of days there should be more interesting movements at Gladstone Airport!
