Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Canadair Challenger 604 Bizjet A37-001 Spotted at Gladstone Airport This Week

Over the last couple of weeks, Gladstone plane spotters Jamie C and Tash C have been away enjoying a well earned and well deserved family holiday, however on Thursday 8 August, they were back home and enjoying the action from their vantage point overlooking Gladstone Airport.  And they weren't disappointed with Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet A37-001 touching down at Gladstone Airport, bring Deputy Prime Minister Albanese to the port city.

After some time on the ground, A37-001 eventually made a spectacular departure from Gladstone Airport off Runway 28.  A37-001 was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Envoy 17".

Meanwhile, earlier on Thusday 8 August, there was fog at Rockhampton Airport causing the diversion of Toll Freight (Toll Express) Metro III VH-UZS to Gladstone.  It was captured departing for Mackay as TFX162.

It's great to have Jamie and Tash back from holidays, and we look forward to bringing you the spectacular work of these two very talented photographers.  In fact, I believe that Jamie is possibly the premier aviation photographer in Central Queensland!
