Weekend Plane Spotting Action from Rockhampton Airport Part 1 - United States Marine Corps (USMC) KC-130J 167109 Departs on Saturday

With Military Exercise Talisman Saber 2013 completed, the action is starting to slow down at Rockhampton Airport.  However, there are reports that United States military aircraft will continue to pop into the beef capital as efforts are made to remove two unexploded ordinances from the Great Barrier Reef which were left behind from TS13.

As we reported below, United States Marine Corps (USMC) Lockheed KC-130J 167109 (Tail Code QD-7109) of the Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152 (VMGR-152) popped into Rockhampton on Friday 16 August.  Local plane spotter Don W captured 167109 as it departed Rockhampton Airport early on Saturday 17 August for Townsville and further North.

Thanks to Don for sending through the great photo!
