Another AirServices Australia / Aero Pearl Flight Calibration King Air at Gladstone Airport - VH-FIZ

Touching down at Gladstone Airport on Friday 20 September from Brisbane was AirServices Australia / Aero Pearl flight calibration Hawker Beechcraft B300 Super King Air VH-FIZ.

The King Air is one of four that AirServices Australia operates to calibrate the Instrument Landing System (ILS) and other navaids at airports around Australia. Soon after arriving into Gladstone, it operated an hour long flight in the circuit area and around Gladstone Airport.

As shown above and below, local plane spotters Jamie C and Tash C again captured some fantastic images of this lovely aircraft at Gladstone Airport.

VH-FIZ is the newest of four of these type of aircraft and visited the port city just over a week after sister-ship VH-FIY was in town conducting similar operations.

VH-FIZ departure conducted another navaid flight on Saturday 21 September, and eventually departed for the South on Sunday 22 September.  VH-FIZ was heard to be using radio callsign of "AusCal 4" / ADA4.

Thanks to Jamie and Tash for sending through these fantastic images from Gladstone!
