A Trio of Australian Army Sikorsky S-70A-9 Blackhawk Helicopters at Gladstone Airport This Week

Local plane spotters Jamie C and Tash C have had another great week of plane spotting action at Gladstone Airport, highlighted by the visit of three Australian Army Sikorsky S-70A-9 Blackhawk helicopters over three separate days.

The action started on Tuesday 19 November with A25-104 popping in briefly for fuel.

On Wednesday 20 November, Blackhawk A25-210 was captured performing a spectacular ‘wheelie’ on Gladstone’s Runway 10 before going around and landing.

A25-210 was also heard to be overflying Rockhampton a little later using the radio calling of “Spartan 210”.

Completing the hat-trick of Australian Army Blackhawk helicopters this week was A25-219, which was photographed arriving into Gladstone Airport on Thursday 21 November as  “Spartan 219”.

Certainly some great action captured by Jamie and Tash at Gladstone Airport this week, and we sincerely thank them for sending through these awesome images!
