Upcoming Events at the Rockhampton Aero Club - Including BBQ Friday!


Paul from the Rockhampton Aero Club has advised that the Club is holding its first BBQ for the year this Friday 17 January from 6pm onwards at the Club building on the General Aviation (GA) side of Rockhampton Airport.  Members are welcome to come on down and enjoy the best burgers in town.  The bar will be open too!

Meanwhile, the Rockhampton Aero Club is gearing up for a couple of busy weekends with the Club's Chief Flying Instructor (CFI) Lesley Crowther-Scott running another one of the Club's successful PPL Theory Courses.  The course dates are running over the weekends of 18-19 January and 25-26 January from 8am to 5pm each day at the Rockhampton Aero Club Training Room at Rockhampton Airport.  On the last day of the course particpants will sit the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) PPL Online Theory Exam.

The Course fee is $800.00 - which includes the CASA PPL Theory Exam Fee

Finally, Paul had also advised that first CASA AvSafety Seminar for 2014 with be held at the Rockhampton Aero Club on Tuesday 25 February from 6pm to 7.30pm.

The seminars provide education and safety awareness to a broad range of aviation industry participants and your support is both beneficial to CASA and to the Aviation Industry.  The AvSafety Seminars are free to participants and refreshments will be available.

This presentation is entitled "CASA and Regulatory Change. Are you ready?"
