Some More Stunning Photos of Recent Visitors to Rockhampton Airport

Local plane spotter Phil M has sent through some simply stunning images he's captured at Rockhampton Airport over the last couple of weeks.

On Tuesday 26 August, McDermott Aviation Group / Machjet International Beech B200 King Air VH-MWZ was captured by Phil departing to parts unknown.  I believe it arrived into Rocky the previous week and was parked on the Northern end of the Rockhampton Airport apron.

Then on Wednesday 27 August, Partenavia P.68 Observer VH-PGN was captured as it popped into Rocky.  The little twin is registered in New South Wales however it wears "Island Hopper" titles and has been reportedly involved in whale watching flights.

Also on Wednesday 27 August, Phil captured QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 Next Gen VH-LQM - as we mentioned below - flying South as QLK2301 and looking resplendent in its 'Recognise' colour scheme.

And finally on Wednesday 27 August, Phil captured some nice late afternoon photos of Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-YVA as it departed Rockhampton for Brisbane as VOZ1248.

Meanwhile, last Thursday 21 August the Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon Hawker 850XP bizjet VH-SGY called in carrying State Premier Campbell Newman.  After overnighting, Phil captured these stunning early morning images on Friday 22 August of the Hawker as it sat in the early morning sun.

He also managed to capture a couple of photos of Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) ATR 72-500 VH-FVL as it prepared for departure as VOZ1234 to Brisbane.

Certainly some lovely images from Phil - we thank him sincerely for sending them through and allowing us to share them with you!
