Aerorescue (AMSA) Dornier 328-100 VH-PPG "Rescue 481" Also at Bundaberg Airport Thursday - And More!

As we posted below, Brisbane-based plane spotter Brendan B has been at Bundaberg over the last couple of days, and on Thursday 26 March, he again called into Bundaberg Airport, and again, he has captured some more great photos of some more great visitors!

While we posted some photos from Bundy on Thursday last night, Brendan was at the right place at the right time to capture Aerorescue (AMSA - Australian Maritime Safety Authority) Dornier 328-100 VH-PPG.  It was noted arriving from Brisbane a little earlier as "Rescue 481".

VH-PPG was spotted resting at Bundy at the conclusion of a Search and Rescue (SAR) flight out of Brisbane.  I believe that "Rescue 481" is now based at Brisbane, but has also recently spent time at Darwin, Melbourne (Essendon) and Cairns.  Of interest, maintenance on the Dorniers is conducted at their Darwin base.

Brendan also captured a photo of the visiting Earth Commodities Cessna 550 Citation Bravo bizjet VH-CCJ on Thursday 26 March.

He also spent a little bit of time capturing a few aircraft departing Bundaberg Airport during a busy Thursday morning including locally-built Jabiru J-120 24-7201.

Locally-based Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Hawker Beechcraft B200 King Air VH-FDA was spotted departing to the Sunshine Coast as "FlyDoc 401".

Gladstone-based Cessna 182P was departed to parts unknown after reportedly having maintenance issues the previous day.

Brightly coloured Flysynthesis Texan Top Class 600 LSA 24-5204 also departed.

And finally, another locally-based aircraft - Cessna 172 VH-CMZ - also departed to parts unknown.

Brendan also called into Bundaberg Airport on Wednesday 25 March and, as mentioned below, was on hand to capture the first visit for the week of Pel-Air Aviation (Royal Australian Navy Fleet Support) IAI Westwind 1124 bizjet VH-KNS.  I believe it called into Bundy again on Friday 27 March, arriving from RAAF Base Tindal and later departing to HMAS Albatross at Nowra in New South Wales as "Sentry 23".

Meanwhile, on Wednesday he also captured Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) ATR 72-500 VH-FVL just after it touched down from Brisbane as VOZ1701.

And as the sun was setting over a big day for Brendan, he popped back to Bundaberg Airport and captured a couple of late departures on Wednesday evening with QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QON departing to Brisbane as QLK2325.

And General Aviation Maintenance (GAM) Aerocommander 500-S VH-YJL was captured departing to Maryborough and Brisbane on its weekday-evening freight run.  It has earlier arrived from Gayndah.

Brendan has since moved onto Hervey Bay and of course, he has been plane spotting at the Fraser Coast Airport.  Stay tuned to the CQ Plane Spotting Blog to see these great photos!

We sincerely thank Brendan for his continued support and sending through these awesome photos from Bundaberg Airport!

Brendan has his own plane spotting and travel Blog - named BMB Photography - you can check out more of his photos and much more at:  http://madaboutplanes.blogspot.com.au/
