RAAF Challenger 604 Bizjet A37-002 Calls into Hervey Bay / Fraser Coast Airport

Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet A37-002 was noted departing Hervey Bay / Fraser Coast Airport early on Monday 27 April.

It appears to have arrived in Hervey Bay late on Sunday 26 April from the South.

On Monday morning, A37-002 was heard to be departing South to Mildura in Victoria as "Envoy 59".

Meanwhile, an interesting visitor to Hervey Bay over the weekend was Yakovlev Yak-52 VH-YIK which touched down on Saturday 25 April from Toowoomba.

After spending the night, VH-YIK departed back to Toowoomba on Sunday 26 April.

Finally, Sydney-based D&G Aviation Beech 58 Baron VH-EMZ called into Hervey Bay from Bankstown on Friday 24 April.

I was interested to read and discover that the aircraft registration VH-EMZ was once worn by an Australian Helicopters Bell 412 which unfortunately crashed while on a training flight out of Horn Island to Prince of Wales Island in the Torres Strait in June 2013.  VH-EMZ featured on the CQ Plane Spotting transiting Gladstone about a year earlier!

As a plane spotter, I do find these little facts fascinating!
