Airbus Helicopters H145 D-HADW on Australian Demo Tour Calls into Bundaberg and Mackay Airports - via Rockhampton Airport!

Early on Thursday 2 July, we posted that the stunning new Airbus Helicopters H145 D-HADW, which is currently on an Australian demo tour, was due to pop into Bundaberg Airport while travelling North to Mackay Airport.  However, much to my surprise and delight, after departing Bundy and passing by Gladstone, D-HADW made a diversion into Rockhampton Airport to take on fuel before continuing to Mackay.

The H145 - recently renamed from EC145 T2 - is being demonstrated to several Australian operators including EMS (Emergency Medical Service) and police operations. The H145 is also being demonstrated to the Australian military during its month-long visit of 15 capital cities, regional centres and towns stretching from Melbourne to Far North Queensland and points in between.

D-HADW landed at Mackay Airport later on Thursday 2 July and was reportedly being demonstrated to the locally-based operators Whitsunday Helicopters and Mackay Helicopters.
