Yet Another QantasLink B717-200 VH-NXN at Hamilton Island Airport Monday - And the Mass Exodus of Cirrus SR20 & SR22 Aircraft!

On Monday 14 September, QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200 VH-NXN was noted operating a flight into Hamilton Island Airport as QJE1722/1723 from and back to Brisbane.

This is (I think) the fourth visit of a B717-200 into Hamo in the last month - they are becoming quite regular!

Meanwhile, another regular visitor in the form of Marcplan Charter Embraer EMB-135BJ Legacy bizjet VH-VLT was noted departing Hamilton Island Airport for Cairns on Sunday 13 September.  It later departed from Cairns to Fiji.

Finally, over the course of Sunday 13 September, and more so on Monday 14 September, most, if not all, of the 30 or so Cirrus SR20 and Cirrus SR22 aircraft that were parked on Hamo for the 'Cirrus Life Event' over the weekend were all noted departing to various parts of Queensland, and further afield, around Australia.

Judging by the photos posted on the Cirrus Aircraft Australia & New Zealand Facebook page ( http://www.facebook.com/cirrusaircraftaunz ) it looked like a spectacular weekend of presentations and entertainment for the participants!
