Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-YFL Calls into Gladstone Airport Wednesday

Much to everyone's surprise, Virgin Australia sent Boeing B737-800 VH-YFL into Gladstone Airport on Wednesday 18 November, calling in on the VOZ1711 service from Brisbane.  Col captured these great photos as it taxied onto its parking gate.

VH-YFL later departed back to Brisbane as VOZ1714.

Meanwhile, a little earlier in the day, Virgin Australia Embraer E-190 VH-ZPE was also spotted by Col shortly after arriving also from Brisbane but as VOZ1707.  It departed back to Brisbane as VOZ1710.

Finally, while we have been focusing on Virgin jets over the last few Blog posts about Gladstone Airport, QantasLink continues to fly Cobham Aviation-operated Boeing B717-200s into the port city on their scheduled services from and back to Brisbane.  On Wednesday 18 November, both VH-NXM (still in older Qantas Group livery) and VH-NXD (in new style livery) were spotted on Wednesday 18 November flying in as QJE1704 and QJE1706 respectively.

Some more great photos from Gladstone from Col - we thank him sincerely for his continuing contributions to the CQ Plane Spotting Blog!
