A Couple of Other Helicopters Spotted at Rockhampton Airport incl Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service Bell 412EP VH-EPR Spotted at Browne Park

On Friday 22 July, local plane spotters Trevor H and Kayanne H popped out to Rockhampton Airport and captured some more photos of the Babcock Mission Critical Services Australasia (ex Australian Helicopters) operated Bell 412 choppers VH-LSY and VH-EPR.

As mentioned below, VH-LSY had positioned to Rocky from Mackay Airport during the week and is the 'operational spare' for the locally based Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service and Central Queensland Rescue (CQ Rescue) Helicopter Service.

A little while later on Friday 22 July, the Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service Bell 412EP VH-EPR "Rescue 300" then positioned across to local football stadium Browne Park where a function was to be held later in the day at the Rockhampton Leagues Club.

Back at Rockhampton Airport on Friday 22 July, Trevor spotted Stirling Helicopters Eurocopter AS.350B2 Squirrel helicopter VH-AGL which later completed a hover test before returning to the hangar.

Finally, a nice fixed-wing arrival into Rockhampton Airport on Friday 22 July from Archefield was Tisdall Aviation (Flight One) Beech 58 Baron VH-PRG.

It brought a load gentlemen to town with a lot of fishing gear - certainly a big weekend looked to be in store!

Sincere thanks to Trevor and Kayanne for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
