Piper PA-23-250 Aztec YJ-AM2 (ex VH-KMA) Departs Maryborough Airport on Delivery to Vanuatu

A couple more great photos from David G of Maryborough Aviation Services (MAS) who on Monday 18 July said a fond farewell to Piper PA-23-250 Aztec YJ-AM2 (ex VH-KMA) which departed to the Gold Coast on the first leg of a delivery flight to a local operator in Vanuatu.

The Aztec has been in the MAS hangar undergoing maintenance and preparation work for it new operator in Vanuatu which, as the titles and colours that have been applied suggest, will be 'Air Melanesiae'.

YJ-AM2 is the second of two light General Aviation (GA) aircraft which along with Pilatus Britten-Norman BN2A-21 Islander YJ-AM1 (ex VH-OBJ) have departed overseas to Vanuatu for operations with 'Air Melanesiae'.

Finally, one other notable light GA visitor to Maryborough Airport in recent days was Cessna 208 Caravan VH-JOZ which visited from its Toowoomba base via Dalby on Saturday 15 July.  It departed back to Dalby and then Toowoomba later in the day.

Sincere thanks to David and the team at Maryborough Aviation Services for allow us to share these great photos!
