American-Registered Piper PA-31T Cheyenne N500 Pops into Hamilton Island Airport - Plus More!

An interesting visitor into Hamilton Island Airport on Monday 10 October with American-registered Piper PA-31T Cheyenne N500 popping into for a visit from Cairns.

N500 spotted at Cairns Airport recently

The Cheyenne originally arrived at Cairns from Denpasar (Bali), Broome and Tindal in late September and has since completed flights all over country New South Wales and Victoria before returning to Cairns on Sunday 9 October.

The Piper PA-31T Cheyenne is a turboprop development of the earlier PA-31P pressurised Navajo.

Meanwhile, there has also been the usual interesting mix of comings and goings at Hamilton Island Airport over the last week.

On Sunday 9 October, AirServices Australia / Aero Pearl flight calibration Hawker Beechcraft B300 Super King Air VH-FIZ 'ADA4' arrived from Gladstone.  It looked to complete some Navaid calibration around Hamo before heading to Townsville.

Agile Aviation / Pegasus Air (of South Australia) Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-TCP departed Hamilton Island Airport for Longreach Airport and then Adelaide on Friday 7 October.  It had arrived on Hamo on Monday 3 October.

Also departing Hamilton Island Airport on Friday 7 October was Silver Linings Aviation Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign bizjet VH-ZEK.  It departed to Bankstown.  It appears that VH-ZEK has been parked at Hamo since Friday 23 September when it arrived Bankstown.
