Exercise Wallaby 2016 - RSAF Lockheed C-130H Hercules '733' Still Operating out of Rockhampton Airport - This Week on Flare Drops!

Local plane spotter 'IAD' was on hand at Rockhampton Airport on Tuesday 11 October and noted a new operating pattern for the deployed Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Lockheed C-130H Hercules '733'.

The Herc was towed and parked on Taxiway Juliette where ground crew were noted to be loading flares onto the aircraft.  It then departed from Rocky's Runway 33 to the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA) where it appears that it is completing flare drops.

'733' continues to use the radio callsign of "Rider".

Meanwhile, local photographer Russell P also shares some more great photos of the RSAF C-130H Hercules '733' as it departed Rockhampton Airport on a sortie to Shoalwater Bay late last week.

Sincere thanks to 'IAD' and Russell P for taking the time to capture and share these great photos!
