Mustang Flights Australia CAC CA-18 Mk21 Mustang VH-MFT 'Snifter' Departs Mackay Airport for Townsville

After flying through Rockhampton Airport earlier in the week and eventually landing at Mackay Airport, Mustang Flights Australia CAC CA-18 Mk21 Mustang VH-MFT (commonly known as 'Snifter') has seemingly departed for Townsville a day earlier than planned, being spotted in the Far North on Thursday 13 October.

After arriving into Mackay Airport late on Tuesday 11 October - as shown below - VH-MFT was due to operate joyflights over the course of Wednesday 12 October and Thursday 13 October.

VH-MFT has flown into Townsville to participate in the T150 Defence Force Air Show which is scheduled to be held on Saturday 15 October over The Strand.  There will also be an Open Day at RAAF Base Townsville on Sunday 16 October.

The Mustang is planned to return to Mackay Airport on Monday 17 October and Rockhampton Airport on Tuesday 18 October.  It will then return home to Caboolture on Tuesday afternoon.

If anyone is feeling adventurous, and has some money burning a hole in their back-pocket, joyflights are available in the Mustang during its stays in Townsville over the weekend, as well as Mackay and Rockhampton next week.  For more information or to book a joyflight, you should contact Dave Kelly on 0402 788 980.
