And a Few More Photos of Various Helicopters at Mackay Airport in the Aftermath of Tropical Cyclone Debbie

We've been very fortunate to also receive some more great photos captured at Mackay Airport of the various emergency and civilian helicopters that operated out of there in the days after severe Tropical Cyclone Debbie impacted the region.

A pair of Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue helicopters were based at Mackay Airport and operated alongside the locally-based Central Queensland Rescue (CQ Rescue) Bell 412 VH-CQJ "Rescue 412".

Of the civilian helicopters, McDermott Aviation / Heli-Lift Australia operated several flights in the Mackay and Whitsundays region with their the pair of AS365N2 Dauphin helicopters N38MD 'Helitack 429' and N365JL 'Helitack 475'.

While visiting from Townsville was Nautilus Aviation Bell Helicopter Textron Canada 412EP helicopter VH-ZVP.

A great job by all the operators in very trying circumstances .  Your patience, persistence and professionalism is truly appreciated by the local communities you have assisted!

Some great photos we've been privileged to receive and share. Sincere thanks to the Mackay plane spotters for their help!
