Queensland Government Raytheon Hawker 850XP VH-SGY & Queelsand Police Citation Ultra VH-PSU at Gladstone Airport

On Friday 7 April, a pair of Queensland Government operated bizjets were noted calling into Gladstone Airport with passengers then boarding helicopters to be ferried North to Rockhampton to inspect the flooding that is hitting the city.

Queensland Government (State of Queensland) Airwing Raytheon Hawker 850XP bizjet VH-SGY and Queensland Police Service (Airwing) Cessna 560 Citation Ultra bizjet VH-PSU were both noted flying into Gladstone Airport from Brisbane.

They both later returned South to the capital.

Given the flood-waters in Rockhampton are only starting to recede, I would expect that further visits by these and maybe Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) aircraft into the region to continue in the coming days, bringing State and Federal politicians to inspect the damage.
