Australian Army MRH-90 Helicopter A40-010 at Rockhampton Airport as "Warhorse 10"

On Tuesday 23 May, Australian Army NH Industries MRH-90 Multi-Role Helicopter A40-010 was photographed passing through Rockhampton Airport using the radio callsign "Warhorse 10".

It looked to arrive from the North (possibly Townsville) and after taking on fuel, it was heard to depart to Brisbane.

Of interest, the "Warhorse" callsign is used by B Squadron of the 5th Aviation Regiment of the Australian Army based at Townsville.  Until recently, the "Warhorse" callsign had been used by Townsville-based Sikorsky S-70A-9 Blackhawk helicopters until their transfer to the 6th Aviation Regiment in Sydney.

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter Scott H for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
