From Cairns, VH-VVI then flew into Longreach Airport before it later returned to Brisbane.
Meanwhile, there has been another bizjet and some nice light General Aviation (GA) visitors to Longreach Airport over the course of this last week.
Last Saturday 19 August, Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-KXM popped into Longreach Airport once again, calling in from Bankstown and departing to Vanrook Station near Normanton.
Also last Saturday 19 August, Tasfast Air Freight / Vortex Air Piper PA-31-350 VH-TWU also passed through Longreach Airport, arriving from Cairns and later departing to Charleville. It eventually continued to its Melbourne (Moorabbin) base. It appears that VH-TWU has been completing flights between Townsville and Palm Island over recent weeks.
While another Piper PA-31-350 VH-OMN of Dick Lang's Dessert-Air Safaris' arrived into Longreach Airport on Friday 25 August from Innamincka on what looked to be one of its many Safari flights.
Finally, a trio of Pilatus PC-12s have been noted calling into Longreach Airport at various times during the week. Last Sunday 20 August, Brisbane-based PC-12/47E VH-VTF arrived from Archerfield and departed to Mount Isa. On Thursday 24 August, New Pilatus Australia (Adelaide) Pilatus PC-12/47E VH-PIL arrived from Brunette Downs. It departed on Saturday 26 August for Birdsville. Also visiting on Saturday 26 August was Vanderfield Pilatus PC-12/47 VH-WPH which arrived from an overnight stay at Emerald Airport and later departed to its Toowoomba base.
